Celebrating Hessle’s Hidden Natural Gem
Our venue, Tranby Gate: Woodland and Wildlife Haven, is a hidden natural gem in the heart of our town. Situated at the crossroads of Ferriby Road and Heads Lane, it is a small but beautiful wilderness of mature British trees and natural spaces, supporting a wide range of local flora and fauna.
The opportunity to listen to carols amongst this precious natural landscape is truly unforgettable. By gathering in this beautiful spot, we hope to celebrate and raise awareness for one of Hessle’s most special places – a site that the local community is dedicated to protecting for future generations to enjoy.
Supporting Our Local Green Space (and Hospice!)
Enjoy the festive spirit with us while supporting a crucial local cause. Mulled Wine and Mince Pies will be served on the night!
Proceeds from sales of refreshments, will go directly to the Friends of Tranby Gate. Your support will help this non-political group in their efforts to protect the woodland from development and ensure it remains a beautiful green space for Hessle’s future.
Any additional donations made directly to the Hessle Waits on the night support our carolling tradition and allow us to continue our long-standing commitment to the community, including making an annual grant to support the vital work of Dove House Hospice.
